April is Western North Carolina Cheese Month and we at A Bed of Roses will be celebrating by pairing our wonderful local cheeses with our equally wonderful local wines! A perfect match! Every Saturday during the month of April we will feature a bottle of Addison Farms Vineyard’s wines paired with the perfect accompaniment from Three Graces Dairy. All tastings are complimentary and will take place between 5 and 6PM in our dining area. Addison Farms Vineyard is a local family vineyard and winery with over 7 acres of grapes. Three Graces is a local creamery offering delicious farmstead French-style cheeses. More information about Addison Farms Vineyard and Three Graces Dairy will be provided at the tastings, as well as copies of the “Cheese Trail Map” so you can visit all of our local creameries during your visit to Asheville. Addison Farms Vineyard also provides wine tastings each weekend at their stunning new Tasting Room and Event Center located at 4005 New Leicester Highway, just 17 miles from downtown Asheville. We, and our fellow Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association members, were recently treated to a private tour of the winery. Set among gently rolling hills at 2300 feet, the vineyard is the perfect, peaceful setting to enjoy an early Spring afternoon tasting of their elegant wines and listen to family stories about the land and the funny history behind the naming of their wines. What a perfect setting for a small wedding! Check their website for events throughout the year! The tasting room and event space is filled with original artwork and a very special event is coming up in May – Vineyard Plein Air with artist John Mac Kah. See photos of our private tour of Addison Farms Vineyard below and be sure to join us in April!
