For two weekends only in April, the 18th & 19th and the 25th & 26th, The Fox and Beggar Theater will perform the theatrical debut of Animalia based on the poetry series The Galapagos Nocturnes, Animalia. Performing on the stage of Montford’s own, iconic Hazel Robinson Amphitheater, this fantastical performance will blend circus performance, elaborate costumes, dance, mask-and-puppet theater and studio arts, all with a live Klezmer orchestra! The result promises to be a surreal and visually striking fairy tale steeped in mystery and mythology.
The show begins at 8:30 pm and runs for approximately 90 minutes. Beofre each show, starting at 7pm, there will be a spectacular pre-show carnival lining the pathway from the parking lot to the outdoor stage. Vendors and sideshow performances will take place. Local beer and wine will be available as well as food from some of Asheville’s best food trucks.
Stay at A Bed of Roses on the weekend of April 18th or April 25th and get 2 tickets for $20, discounted from the regular ticket price of $24-$50.
